I'm trying to locate my family members to fill out my family tree. My grandfather was John Kuntz, as was his son, my uncle. My grandfather may also have had the name John Kunce and my great-grandfather was (maybe) also John Kunce. My father is the lone survivor in his family and at 82, his memory is poor. My grandfather may have been born in Meto, Czech.(no known date) My grandmother was Antonia Balek.(also no birth date) She apparently died around 1924. My grandfather died in 1945, the same year as his son, John (killed over Burma in WWII) My grandfather, John, may have come to the US between 1900 and 1904, possible with his brother William (Vaslav) and his sister Anna. If you have any information on any of them, I'd appreciate hearing from you. If I find more on the names, I'll pass it on.

Researching: TUBOWA, HAZIN, KROSNAR, DOPP
I am searching for some record of my great grandmother Anna Tubowa and/or her parents. She immigrated to the United States in the mid-1800's to Wisconsin. She probably was born in the early 1840's in or near Hazin. The marriage record from Wisconsin refers to Hazin, Bohemia but Hazin, Slovakia is the only one I could find. Her parents are listed as being Franz and Theresa. The birth record of one of her children refers to Anny Krosnar, and for two others Anna Dub and Anna Dopp, so there seems to be some confusion but the marriage record seems more definitive but maybe the others offer clues on alternative spellings. I hope someone can help me.
