Frank Novotny from Doksy, Cze. born 1-1-1876, married to Josephine
Cathering Alberta Sip from Belec, Cze. born 8-5-1879. Child name Rose
Marie Novotny, born Lyra, texas USA, on June 5, 1912. Barbara Mleziva
from Chodov, Cze. born 8-30-1959, married to John Novy from ? born on
3-26-1854, Child name is Anton Novy from County of klleubc, Cze. born
5-31-1899. Not sure but think Jacob Mazara and Anna Mathuzr is related
to Barbara Mleziva, or sponsored. Mary Vcera's Dad and Mom Mrnka
sponsored Frank Novotny.

Researching: KOTRLIKA, KOTRLIKOVA, KOTRLIK
My great grandfather, Bartolemej Kotrlika, came to Galveston, Texas as a
child. I have no history beyond that of our branch of the family in Texas
and an uncle and cousins in California. I would like to know where
Netolice is. The family settled around the San Antonio, Texas area (mostly
around Praha, Texas. Our name is listed here in America as Kotrlikova,
Kotrlika, and Kotrlik.

Researching: KODAD, KODADOVA
I'm looking for the name Kodad. This was my great-grandmother's maiden
name. she came to the United states when she was 8 years old from
bohemia. I have heard that some women in Bohemia use the name Kodadova,
meaning they are single or widowed. If anyone knows anything about the
name please write to me.

Researching: CHODORA
Seeking relatives of my grandmother Anna Marie Chodora. Her father's
name was Frank Chodora. She emigrated from Prague in 1911 at the age of
21. She had a brother Alois Chodora who had a son named Jan Chodora who
may have emigrated to Australia (Canberra?). Her mother died when she
was very young and her father remarried. Stepmother's name is thought to
be Marie. Anna Marie had one half brother, name unknown and possibly two
half-sisters of whom one may be named Borena. Seeking relatives of Alois
and Jan Chodora. My mother is elderly now and would like to find the
relatives her mother never saw again after she left Czechoslovakia.
Anyone answering must first indicate the name of a famous relative we
would have in common.

Information on relatives of Anton and Mary Mutel Klecak, I am
the granddaughter of Anton and Mary Klecak and the daughter of
William and Isabella Klecak, sisters Joan Klecak Gussack, Carol Klecak
Kozachenko. My father passed away in Feb 1976, Aunt Edith Klecak Morone
passed away Apr 1979, Grandmother Mary Mutel Klecak passed away Apr 1986, she
outlived all her children. Would love to be in contact with other family

Researching: ZEMAN, WASHECHEK, VASICEK, FORMAN,

Seeking any information on Jacob Zeman b. June 17 1862 in Bohemia, came
to USA 1880 thru New York, worked for one year in Ida Grove Iowa before
moving to Brule Co South Dakota where he homesteaded. In 1885 he was
married to Catherine Washechek, daughter of Jacob and Mary(Duda)
Vasicek. Would like any info on Jacob Zeman's parents, his father was
listed as James on his death certificate, He may have had a sister in
Vienna. Other g g grandparents are Josef and Katerina (Novak) Forman.

Researching: SMRCKA
Looking for any information about Smrcka surname or the village of
Pisarov in Czechoslovakia. My father and his brother moved to the US in
the 40's. They were both born in Detroit as their mother had just
arrived from Europe. Their father, Joseph, abandoned the family and has
not been heard from since. She sent them back to be raised by extended
family who ran/run a hotel or restaurant named Kocanda.

I am looking for information about and relatives with the surname Hula. I, Russ Hula, and my father,
Raymond Hula were born in Fremont NB. Raymond's father is Walter Hula, born 23 August 1908, in
South Dakota. His father was Edward Hula, born 23 November 1881 in Chicago IL. Edward's father Vit
Hula, was born 25 December 1850 in Austria. Vit married Anna Baumel, born 10 June 1853 in Pitzer
Bohemia. Vit's father, John Hula was born 9 February 1814 in Vienna, Austria.

I am searching for information about Charles Dedic who was born on 15 October 1888 in Tynn Vltava,
CZ. In later years he became a tailor. His parents were Mattew Dedic and Marie Bartus; they owned a
dry goods store. Charles married Josephine Fiala, born on 23 September 1895 in Caus, Bohemia. They
were married in Chicago. Josephine's parents were John Fiala and Marie Tryb. The Fiala's had 7
children; Josephine, Mae, Rose, Rudolph, Frank, Emil and James. Any information about these families
will be helpful.

Researching: HOFFMANNOVA
I am looking for information about my maternal grandfather, Ladislau Hoffmannova. He left the Prague
area and came to the United States, possibly with an uncle, sometimes between 1906 and 1910 when he
was between the ages of 10 and 16. He is believed to have settled in the Passaic, NJ area, along with a
host of other relatives. He was separated from my maternal grandmother, Ernestine Martin, after the birth
of my mother and pretty much disappeared at that point. It is known that he shortened his name to
Hoffman. Any information about him will be appreciated.

Researching: SODOMKA
My maiden name was Sodomka, my grandparents seem to know very little
about my grandfathers family. His name is Norman John Sodomka, his
parents were John and Ella. My grandfather was raised in Clarkson, Ne..
He had one sister Evelyn, she had done research into the family, but she
died when I was very young. Her husband doesn't have any of the
research anymore. If anyone knows any history of the Sodomka's I'd love
to hear from you.

Researching: SOPEK, VTIPIL, STEEPLE
I am trying to find information on my gr. gr. grandparents Vaclac Vtipil
born in 1841, I believe in eastern Bohemia and Anna Sopek. I don't know
where Anna was born. They married in Prague in 1867 and came to America
that same year. Their name was Americanized to Steeple. They came into
Baltimore and then settled in Kansas and later moved to Nebraska. Any
information on their histories would be greatly appreciated.
