The Folk Songs of Moravia
Kaca
Partners face and grasp inside hands. The dance is usually repeated several times, each time with a new partner.
The song was arranged by Jan Schuster and used per Fr. A. Urbanek in the book, Folk Dances of Czecho Slovakia, by Marjorie Crane Geary.
We will be presenting the best of classic Moravian folk music at Czech, Moravian, and Bohemian Genealogical Research. Randall Kopchak is doing midi arrangements of turn of the century Czech, Moravian, and Bohemian folk music, kolyady, and hymns. We were most fortunate to find several books of music published at the turn of the century with 19th century arrangements of folk songs.
If you enjoyed the music, drop Randall a note at r_kopchak@hotmail.com and let him know what you think of the music. He may even be willing to do your special request!
